If you’ve visited my website lately you’d notice that “Ericka Saves” has changed. I have a new look and I designed it myself! With all of the new things and changes going on in my life, I thought I’d give you glimpse of my daily life outside of blogging and how I use my unlimited talk text and data/ web.

I’m able to streamline my life and cut cost tremendously using Walmart Family Mobile. The service is only $29.88 per month (for the first line), and it comes with an unlimited talk, text & data plan that includes up to a gig of 4G LTE service. Having a plan this affordable allows me to use #MyDataMyWay.

Now, for starters I’m not a work-from-home blogger. I actually have a full-time job that I work 40+ hours per week. I usually wake up get ready for work and head out of the door. Sometimes I make breakfast, but most of the time I make it once I get to work. I usually make oatmeal or grab a piece of fruit (I know that’s bad, but I’m getting better).

As soon as I get to work and I’m settled in, I pull out my phone and use my unlimited data to surf Facebook. I’ll check my page, scroll through my newsfeed and check the activity on my fan page. Sometimes I’ll share an article or write a status, I’ll “Like” a few statuses, and check my messages.

Then I work, work, work.

During my lunch break I usually walk around downtown Kansas City for 30-45 minutes. During my walk I snap pictures on Instagram of random things I see. I love to frequent a rooftop park located on 13 and Main Street. I’ll go up there sit on bench and relax for a few minutes, and I usually snap photos for social media while up there.

During my lunch break I also use my data and an app on my phone that acts as a pedometer to track my steps and distance. It also pulls up my music so I can listen distraction free. I take my running shoes to work each day so I can walk (trust me, I need to walk daily in order to clear my mind, and make it through the rest of the day).

I use my last 20 or 30 minutes of lunch to eat. Then I go back to the office and work, work, work, until 5:30 pm.

I travel by public transportation, so after I get off of work I’ll walk to the bus stop and wait for the bus to come. While sitting at the stop I use my data to stream Sling TV and catch up on all of my favorite shows. HGTV is one of my favorite channels.

During my bus ride home I’ll either finish watching a streaming show, or I’ll play a game of Bonza on my phone until it’s my time to get off of the bus. Once I get off of the bus I listen to my music while I walk home.

I know it’s pretty boring, but it’s my day-to-day life. All of the fun, creativity, and magic happens on the weekends or when I’m at home 8-).

It’s funny because I never realized how much I depend on my phone throughout the day to get me through the day, and what makes it better is I don’t have to worry about spending hundreds of dollars on a phone plan.
