My mother has always had my back…

She has been in my corner since I was born, has supported me in every direction I’ve decided to take in life whether it was joining the military or deciding to go back to school, to the time I decided to take a vacation ‘alone’ (I’ll have to tell you about that one day) and everything in between. She acted as my “power of attorney” and took care of my affairs while I was deployed in the military. Although she didn’t want to, she endured hours of holding up flash cards to help me study for college exams, and more. My mom works hard every day and I wanted to thank her by having a special mother/ daughter day where we’d lounge around sipping on Bigelow Tea and catching up.

Of course plans changed as they always do in my crazy life…

We had appointments to get massages and almost missed them, we were pushing time, arriving five minutes late. After our massages we were supposed to do lunch, but we ended up stopping by Walmart to pick up a few items to take to an event she had to attend. At Walmart I picked up a box of Bigelow Green Tea with Lemon, and about eight lemons.

I chose Bigelow Tea over the others because it’s affordable, it’s an American company, it’s family owned, and each tea bag has a foil pouch that preserves the quality and freshness of the tea.

You can find the tea in the back close to the dairy aisle. I’m letting you know because I had no idea where to go since I’m not that big of a tea drinker. Remember this day is about my mom and she LOVES Bigelow Tea.

Then my mom decided “Oh, Ericka, I want to get my nails filled…Can you get my nails filled?”

So off we went to the nail salon to get her nails done. I ended up getting a simple manicure too. Finally, we were able to relax and enjoy our tea.

As I mentioned I’m not that big of a tea drinker, I drink it when it’s cold outside, when I’m sick, and well, when something is mixed in, hence the title “Easy Green Tea Lemonade.”

Here is what you need (to make a pitcher):

  • Bigelow Green Tea w/ lemon (or regular green tea) *I used two bags*
  • 6 tablespoons of sugar *and more for taste*
  • 5 or more lemons (squeeze the fresh lemon juice)
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water
  • Ice (as much as you’d like)
  • *Lemon Ice Cubes* they just look pretty

The “Lemon Ice Cubes” are extremely easy to make. Just grab a muffin/ cupcake pan, pour a little water into each hole (as thick as you’d like the cube to be). Slice a lemon and place the slices into the water in each hole. Place the pan into the freezer until the water is frozen. See, simple.

I used one lemon ice cube in each glass, and the rest I put in the pitcher to keep the green tea lemonade cool. #AmericasTea #CollectiveBias

LOVE the lemon ice cube idea! I’m totally going to try that with my next batch of Bigelow Iced Tea. And your green tea lemonade sounds wonderful too…I like both separately, so I bet I’ll love that too. #client
