I had a wonderful getaway in Chicago celebrating my niece “Michelle’s” 10th birthday. You’ll be reading a lot about the trip in the next few days, but first let me tell you how the new Walgreen’s paperless coupons app saved my style.
Once we were settled into the hotel, I realized I forgot my mascara, eye liner, and eye shadow at home.
Wrong?……I was saved by Walgreen’s mobile app.
Now you know I’m one of the biggest “How to Use Coupons” fanatics, and I live and breath clipping coupons, but in Chicago I didn’t have any.
I couldn’t be in another city not looking good, right? I had to get my makeup, but I still wanted to save a few bucks.
With Walgreen’s Mobile App I no longer need to use scissors to cut coupons or remember to bring them to the store. I was able to clip manufacturer eCoupons by choosing them with my finger.
If you are already a Balance Rewards member it’s as simple as downloading the app, signing in, and clipping away.
The eCoupons are added to your Balance Rewards account and redeemed when you purchase the products on your list. Notice I chose a paperless coupon for Covergirl products, and one for L’Oreal mascara.
To redeem simply scan your Balance Rewards Card (via the App on your phone, the actual card or by punching in your phone number) at checkout and it automatically is applied. **Note: Be sure to sync your Balance Rewards membership to the Mobile App to get started. Each paperless coupon can only be used once. Once it is redeemed it will be deleted from your coupon list.**
Our first day in Chicago wasn’t bad; I kept it natural and went barefaced with a little lip gloss. We went to the 31st Street Beach and to dinner at “Eleven Diner.” Afterwards I let the girls swim at our hotel.
We noticed a lot of Walgreen’s scattered throughout town, so the next morning I went to one close to the hotel. I sat in the car, pulled up the app and clipped the manufacturers eCoupons I planned on using.
The stuff I purchased…
With Walgreen’s Paperless coupons I saved $5. I purchased a Covergirl Perfect Blend eye pencil, a Covergirl eyeshadow blend in nude, (got $3.00 off 2 products) and Voluminous Butterfly mascara by L’Oreal (saved $2.00), and quickly put my look together using bronzer, lipstick I already had, and the products I purchased.
When I got back to the hotel, my mom, her friend, and my nieces were ready for the day. We spent the entire day (I mean the whole day) at the Fashion Outlet Mall of Chicago….shopping. I was worn out by the time we left.
The girls still had a lot of energy left in them when we left.
Me on the other hand……I was ready to get dinner, and go back to the room and crash. OMG, the Outlet Mall had everything (I have a post coming soon talking about it).
After shopping my nieces and I sat in the car taking selfies while my mom and her friend ran into a gas station to buy water. You can see by the end of the day how tired I was, lol, my lipstick even started to wear off.
and another one…
This is my before picture….LOL I had a passerby snap a picture of me showing my Walgreen’s Mobile app. I was so happy that I was still going to save a little money without using paper coupons (pssh, makeup is expensive).
Welp, there you go….how I saved my Chicago style with Walgreen’s Paperless Coupons. Have you tried Walgreen’s new paperless eCoupons? What was your experience?
